- 32 calf rises each leg! – keep it slow and controlled
- 30 glute bridges – lengthen through the floor
- 1 minute plank - embrace the shakes!
- 4 x 30 second balances in retiré each side – if you fall, we start from the top!
- Practice your pirouettes from 5th and 4th each side. Try each turn until you feel 1 percent progress
- An arabesque each side – master it, and make it clean
- 1 minute butterfly stretch – breathe, don’t force, keep your back long and actively push the knees out

The Improver Intensive with ISABELLA is five full days of deeper, more demanding work for adult dancers who are ready to move beyond the foundations and into something that truly challenges them. More connection. More clarity. More you.
About This Level

The Improver level is often described as Advanced Beginner. It is for adult dancers (18+) who already have some ballet experience and are ready to move beyond the basics into more continuous, demanding work.
At this level, we begin to connect technique across the whole body with greater clarity and speed. You will refine alignment, coordination, and musicality, while building the strength and control needed for more complex combinations. The focus is on understanding, consistency, and steady progress, not perfection.

You'll Love This Intensive If:
- You have around 2 to 4 years of ballet training and feel ready for more challenge.
- You have attended a Beginner level Intensive and want to push further.
- You can follow a full barre and simple centre combinations and pick up basic choreography with confidence.
- You recognise standard ballet terminology without needing it explained.
- You are ready to work harder, go deeper, and come away a stronger dancer than when you arrived.
This Intensive May Not Be Right For You If:
- We want every dancer to be in the right room. If you are still learning directions and basic terminology, the Beginner Intensive is the better starting point.
- If you are after something shorter or more flexible, this is not quite it.
- This intensive asks for five full days and a genuine appetite for detail and challenge. If that is you, we cannot wait to meet you.
The Schedule
The improver intensive runs across five full training days, typically from around 9:00am to 4:30pm.
Mid-week, we host an informal social in the studio after class, a chance to connect with Isabella and your fellow dancers away from the barre.
