About this online pilates course.

For the first time ever, Vie Pilates and BWI have joined forces to bring their content to a global audience.

Introducing your comprehensive full-body Pilates conditioning course by Vie Pilates! These sessions are meticulously designed to challenge your strength, enhance body awareness, and build endurance. This course aims to create a strong, resilient dancer capable of adapting to various movement modalities with ease.

With regular practice, you’ll develop core strength and full-body mobility, focusing on working smarter, not harder, through proper alignment and control.

Led by Sylvia Roberts, an internationally recognized and fully qualified Pilates instructor with over 20 years of experience, you’re in expert hands. Sylvia’s background includes dancing professionally with the Royal New Zealand Ballet and the Singapore Ballet Company, before founding her own Pilates business, Vie Pilates.

Pilates workout course breakdown.

 

Total Abs
25:00

This workout is a challenging intermediate/ advanced abdominal circuit with 5 exercises repeated twice through (plus an oblique finisher). You could go equipment free or add some ankle weights to up the intensity. 25 minutes and you’re done, warm up and cool down included.

Low Impact Fully Body
30.00

We will work every body part in this 30 minute interval session. Expect lots of rotation and some advanced rolling movements that will leave you feeling mobile and energised!.

Murder on the dance floor
23:00

This 23 minute lower body session definitely hits the spot!
Ankle weights or not, this series is intense and targeted. Consisting of side lying and prone movements to work the hips, glutes, inner and outer thighs. This workout has zero standing exercises.

Express Core Challenge
15:00

This 15 minutes of complete abs is great as a stand alone workout or tagged to the end of an upper/lower body session. To up the intensity you can add ankle weights and/or complete a second round!

Body Movin’
32:00

Strengthen your entire body with this fiery full body session! The mixture of weights and Pilates always delivers the burn and you can expect to feel challenged and but not exhausted after this workout.

Feel free to go up a weight for bicep curls, curtsy lunges & lateral lunges. The rest can be executed best using a light to medium weight.

Meet your ballet teacher.

Internationally renowned Pilates teacher Sylvia Roberts offers a rich and profound understanding of Pilates and movement. As a former professional ballet dancer, with over 25 years experience in studying and practicing Pilates, Sylvia brings a great depth of knowledge to her teaching.

SHer practice is grounded in personal experience and her approach is strongly influenced by her initial training as a dancer. As a very late starter to dance, she soon realized that in order to achieve advancement in her professional career, ballet classes were simply not enough. Through discovering the Pilates method she acquired the tools to feel stronger, leaner and more powerful, whilst drastically improving her technique and posture.

Drawing upon a dynamic career in dance, Sylvia prides herself on creating a warm atmosphere free of judgement and competition. Through her extensive experience and expertise she has developed a sustainable and safe practice that encourages her students to listen to their bodies and seek calm.
