The Absolute Beginner Ballet – 9 week Centre Plan

outline

Welcome to The Absolute Beginner Ballet – Centre Plan

Whether you’re brand new to ballet or returning after time away, this 9-week course is your perfect starting point. Focused entirely on centre work, this program is designed to help you build a strong foundation, fill in any gaps, and develop confidence in your technique from the ground up.

Too often these foundations are missed or overlooked, leaving students to fix them later, which leads to bad habits hard to undo.

You’ll be guided through the key fundamentals of ballet, taught with clarity and care, so you can truly understand *how* to do the movements—not just copy shapes. We cover everything you need to start your ballet journey the right way: from port de bras and posture, to learning the arabesques, mastering the art of a clean relevé for turns, and understanding the basics of linking steps and small jumps.

Each week builds progressively, helping you feel more grounded, coordinated, and connected in your movement. By the end, you’ll not only move with more ease and grace—you’ll have a deeper understanding of the *why* behind each step.

This is your space to learn, grow, and fall in love with ballet—

    Let’s get going!
