Course outline

    About this course.

    Wе all need balance in life right? Well that’s what this course is all about! This course will help you hold that arabesque balance longer, turn better, and be more impressive in your dancing! We will cover exercises to strengthen parts of the body crucial for balance, talk about what you need to do to achieve balance quickly, balancing on one leg with the leg above 90 degrees and how to use your arms and legs effectively in class to achieve seamless movement with excellent balance. You will need a theraband, small pilates ball, wobble board/ and or foam balance block. This course is suitable for all levels.

    Course breakdown.
    Balance Course – Lesson 1
    16:00

    In this lesson we will be looking at exercises to strengthen the ankles and sides of the hips. We need not only strong and stable ankles but if our hips are unstable we won’t be able to hold our balance as well as needed. I will take you through some of my favourite exercises in this lesson to help you. You will need a theraband and pilates ball, foam block or unstable service for this class.

    In this lesson we will be focusing on training the ankle strength and leg stability when balancing with the leg above 90 degrees. This is a skill we all need. When we do arabesque/ leg extentions that are higher, it is even more impressive when we can balance effectively. You will need a wobble board and small pilates ball for this class.

    In this lesson we will be learning about how to find your balance quickly! When landing from a jump or going into a rise on one leg. Isabella will take you through exericses. You can use a wobble board or a foam block which is what isabella uses. We finish the lesson with isabella telling you how to use your arms and legs in class effectively to achieve goo balance so you can put your new found strength and conditioned body to practice!

    Founder

    ​Isabella trained at The Royal Ballet School and then became the first British girl to join the Vaganova Ballet Academy in Saint Petersburg at 15 where she studied for 4 years. She joined the Mikhailovsky Ballet in Russia as a soloist and later danced with Eifman Ballet.
